Over the summer, Unger has been lucky enough to recruit two university graduates, Benjamin & Omar, to work as interns with us on specialized R&D projects. These R&D projects were focussed on improving and testing our Functional Materials products for the construction industry. After completing their projects with us, they very kindly gave us their summaries about their time at Unger:
“I worked at Unger Fabrikker during the summer of 2025 and had a great summer there. I was met by a company that consisted of nice colleagues, good working environments and generally a great place to work. Over the summer I worked in the R&D department, where I was well received by the department and enjoyed working there. There was a low threshold for asking for help, and it felt like no questions were seen as stupid questions. In addition, I was given a lot of responsibility for my own workday, and I was able to control how I would solve the tasks that were given. It was also fun to learn about topics that I did not have much prior knowledge about, but at the same time get to use other professional knowledge. I feel I have learned a lot from working at Unger and am very satisfied with my summer there.”
“I had a summer job at Unger Fabrikker as a summer intern in the R&D Department, and it was a very positive experience. The work environment is inclusive and professional, with skilled and pleasant colleagues. Flexible working hours provide a good balance between work and private life and make it easy to organize everyday life. I had the opportunity to gain experience, both within chemical processes and practical engineering, and experienced great professional development, especially in concrete and mortar. Unger is a place where you can really grow as a student and gain valuable experience. I hope to have the opportunity to come back next summer, and I highly recommend Unger Fabrikker to other students who want an educational and rewarding job.”
Following the completion of these projects, their results will now be used to develop even more valuable and unique products for our customers. We wish both of them luck in their future Masters’ studies at their respective universities.
